1 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
3/4 c. white sugar
6 Tbsp. cocoa
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
1/2-3/4 c nuts, chopped
3/4 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 3/4 c. hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together flour, baking powder, salt, white sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Combine shortening, milk, vanilla and nuts; add to dry ingredients. Mix until will blended; spread in ungreased 8x8" pan. Combine brown sugar, remaining cocoa and water; pour over batter. Bake at 350º for 40-45 minutes. Cut into squares; invert on plate. Top the squares with the chocolate lush from bottom of pan. Serve warm or cold, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
