1 cup cranberries, dried
1 cup sugar
6 TBL flour
1/8 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup butter, cut into 1" pieces
6 egg yolks
1 baked 9" pie crust
Directions:
Directions:
1) pour boiling water over cranberries and let stand for 5 min. Drain water & set aside. 2) in medium saucepan place flour, sugar salt & milk; mix until smooth & cook until thick & bubbly. 3) Remove pan from heat; gradually stir in 6 egg yolks & return to heat; boil 2 min. 4) Remove from heat, add butter, cranberries & sour cream 5) Pour hot filling into baked pie shell. Top with meringue; bake for 10 min. 6) Cool & store in refrigerator or top with Cool Whip.

This is a delicious pie, and my brother's favorite at Thanksgiving.

I do not always make the meringue but use whipped cream or Cool Whip.
