Meatballs:
1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. salt
2 small eggs
1/2 c. chopped onion
1-1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
dash of Worcestershire sauce, onion salt and pepper

Sauce:
drippings from meatballs
3/4 c. grape jelly
3 T. lemon juice (or 1 T. vinegar)
1-1/2 c. chili sauce or ketchup

Directions:
Directions:
For meatballs, mix all ingredients and form into small balls. Brown in a small amount of oil. Remove from pan after browning on all sides.

For sauce, in same pan simmer all ingredients until well blended. Add meatballs and simmer over low heat. If sauce becomes too dry, add tomato sauce or water.

These meatballs are great as hors d'ouvres, but they are hearty enough to be a main dish, too.
