1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
2 T. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 beaten egg
3/4 c. butter milk or sour milk
1/4 c. cooking oil
3/4 c. shredded Jack with jalapeño peppers cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Grease an 8x4x2 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix first six ingredients.
In a small bowl, combine egg, milk and oil.
Add all at once to flour mixture. Stir just until moist.
Carefully fold in cheese. Turn into pan.
Bake in 350º oven 45-50 minutes or until golden.
Cool in pan 10 min. Invert onto rack to cool.
