1 can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 can cherry pie filling
1 package yellow cake mix, dry
1 c chopped walnuts
2 cubes margarine

Directions:
Directions:
In a 13x9 inch pan, layer the ingredients as listed. Cut the 2 cubes of margarine into "pats" and cover the top of cake. Bake at 300 degrees for 60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve alone or warm with ice cream.

Another version of this cake calls for pecans rather than walnuts and bakes at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. You can use any combination of canned fruit pie filling and cake mix. Experiment and have fun!
