1 c. shortening
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 t. salt
2 t. soda in 1 tbsp vinegar
3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and peanut butter. Add sugars and vanilla, then the eggs. Blend in the salt soda, vinegar mixture, add the flour. If not firm enough, add more flour. Roll into balls, put on cookie sheet and press with fork. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. makes about 3 1/2-4 dozen.
