4 C. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 C. Shortening
2 C. brown sugar
2 C. white sugar
4 C. oatmeal
2 tsp. soda
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1-12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and both sugars. Sift flour, salt, soda, and baking powder together; add gradually to creamed mixture.
2. Add vanilla, oatmeal, and chips; mix well.
3. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
