6 Yams or 2-3 cans, 6 Tart dark green apples medium size, 1 Cup sugar, 1 Cup brown sugar, 4 Tbs cornstarch, 1/2 Cup butter, 3/4 Cup cold water, 1 1/2 Cup boiling water, 1/2 tsp salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mini marshmallows.

Peel and slice apples. In sauce pan add sugars, salt butter and add boiling water stir well. In a seperate bowl add cornstarch in cold water and mix. Add into sauce with cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat on low heat until liquid turns clear and bubbles. Place yams and apples in 9X13 dish and pour sauce over them. Bake at 350º covered for 20 minutes than remove cover and add marshmallows; place back in oven until marshmallows are golden brown.
