1 White or Yellow Cake mix
2 to 3 Bananas
Whipping Cream

Bake the cake in two 9 inch layer pans. Mash bananas and spread on the first layer. Top with second layer and frost with fresh whipped cream. A homemade cake and fresh whipping cream make this cake even better.

This is a recipe from Phine (Smolander) Schlais. It is a cake her mother used to make. "The boys" came home with a pay check (from the granite quarry in Amberg, WI) the day ma had made this cake. They called it ma's payday cake after that. "The boys" are Phine's brothers, Albert, Jacob, Walt, and Mike.
