1 cup grits
2 cups water
2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter
1 roll Nippy Cheese
1 roll Garlic Cheese
2 eggs, well beaten

***In later years, 6-8 oz of sharp cheese, with red pepper and garlic salt added...as Nippy and Garlic cheese bacame difficult to find...

Directions:
Directions:
Put grits in saucepan...gradually stir in water and milk...Cook until thick.

Add butter and stir until melted.
Add cheese (cut up or shredded) and well beaten eggs. Stir until smooth.

Pour into a well greased casserole.

Bake at 350º for 35-40 minutes.

Let set a few minutes before sering.
