6 c wheat bran from bulk or natural foods section
2 c Boiling Water
1 c Oil
3 c Sugar
4 Eggs, Beaten
1 qt Buttermilk
5 c Flour
5 tsp. Soda
2 tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over 2 c. of the bran and let stand while assembling other ingredients. Mix in oil. Combine remaining bran with sugar, eggs, and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Bake as needed - 400º for 20 min.
