"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 2 T. olive oil 1 egg 1 c. warm water 1 packet yeast (rapid rise)
Mix the yeast with the flour (save 1/2 c. of the flour for kneading). Add warm water and oil and mix thoroughly with a fork. Add the egg and mix together. Add more flour and begin to knead until you get a nice sticky dough. Knead for about 2 minutes. Put the dough into a warm place and let rise about 30 minutes or until is has doubled in size. Spread the dough unto a greased pan (15" or larger). Top with your favorite ingredients and bake at 375º F for about 20-30 minutes. The cheese on top should be turning golden brown. Let the pizza stand for a few minutes before you cut it.
