4 c apples (6-8) 1/4 c water 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1 c sugar 3/4 c flour 7 T butter
Peel and slice apples. Place in buttered 8x8 pan Mix water and cinnamon, pour over apples. Combine sugar, flour and butter until crumbly (use 2 knives and chop butter in crisscross motion)spread over apples. Sprinkle on with spoon.
Bake uncovered 350 for 1 1/2 hours. When cool may be spread whipped cream.
