8-12 slices bacon (cut up and fried til almost crisp -Set aside
Now cook the following in a skillet (covered for 20 minutes):
4 large onions (peeled and cut in rings)
½ to 1 c. brown sugar
¼ tsp. garlic salt or powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
½ c. vinegar
Pepper to taste

Drain the following cans of beans:
2 (15 oz.) dried lima beans – Seaside variety
1 (16 oz.) green lima beans
1 (16 oz.) can dark red kidney beans

Do Not Drain:
1 (1# 11oz.) can New England style baked beans (Use B&M Boston variety, otherwise use 2 of the 14 oz. size cans of Libby deep brown baked beans).

Mix all beans, bacon and onion mixture together well. Bake in a 3 quart casserole for at least an hour at 350. Perhaps longer, but not til all dried out. This recipe freezes well.
