2-3 slices bacon, cut in half
3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 medium carrots, diced
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 C. water
2 T. flour
2 C. milk

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel. To drippings, add potatoes, celery, carrots, onion, salt, pepper, and water. Cook covered about 15 minutes or until tender. Combine flour with small amount of milk until smooth. Add to potato mixture along with remaining milk. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils. Add crumbled bacon.
