8 oz. mozzarella or Fontina Cheese
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 egg beaten
1/2 C. fine dry Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Cooking OIl or Shortening for deep-fat frying
Purchased Spaghetti Sauce opt.

Directions:
1. Cut Cheese into 21/2x1/2x1/2- inch sticks
2. Roll cheese sticks in flour to coat. Then, dip in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs, making sure cheese is completely coated with crumbs. Chill for 2 to 4 hours or till coating is set.
3. In a heavy saucepan or a deep-fat fryer, heat 2 inches of cooking oil or melted shortening to 375º.
4. Fry cheese sticks, a few at a time, for 30 to 45 seconds or till golden. Drain sticks on paper towels. Keep them warm in a 300º oven while frying remaining sticks.
5. If desired, heat spaghetti sauce and serve with warm cheese sticks. (Makes about 20)
