5 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 pound butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. flour
1-1/4 c. pecan pieces
1/3 c. brown sugar
2 pints vanilla ice cream

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325. Line bottom and 2 sides of 9" square pan with a sheet of foil. Butter and flour foil and exposed sides of pan. Melt 3 oz. of the chocolate and 1/4# of the butter over low heat. Beat eggs, vanilla and salt until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar until mixture is light colored and thick. Add butter and chocolate mixture and beat until well combined. Stir in flour and 3/4 c. pecans. Pour into pan and bake 30-35 minutes. Cool. Turn brownies out and peel off foil. Cut into 9 squares. Combine remaining 2 oz. chocolate, brown sugar, butter and 1/4 c. water in saucepan over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth. When ready to serve, reheat sauce if necessary. Top each brownie with a scoop of ice cream and sauce and sprinkle with pecans.
