1 C. sugar
1/2 C. shortening
1 egg
3 1/2 C. flour
1/2 C. sour milk
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla



Filling:

1 C. dates
1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. flour
1/2 C. water
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together: dough. Roll out & cut into circles. Mix filling & cook till thickened & let cool.
Put a tsp o f date filling on each circle and top with another circle of dougg or fold over one circle in half and seal edge.

Bake 350º till brown 10-15 min.
