1 1/2 lb. hamburger
1 med onion, chopped
8 slices American cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 lb bag frozen tater tots
1 can green beans (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Crumble raw hamburger in bottom of 8x10" pan. Put salt and pepper and onion over meat. Place whole cheese slices on top of meat. The meat should be covered with cheese. Spread undiluted soup over entire top. Place tater tots close together and cover entire top of casserole. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour at 350º until golden brown.

I like to put the green beans under the cheese, Ren'ee likes it put on top of the cheese. Doesn't matter. Grandma Bonnie calls this recipe "Ren'ee's Casserole" because Renee is the one that gave her the recipe.
