8 cups quick oats
1 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp.'s baking soda
1 cup maple syrup
2 cups coconut
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup real melted butter
22 graham crackers, crushed
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine oats, salt, sugar, baking soda, maple syrup, coconut, flour and butter. Put on cookie sheets and toast in oven until nicely browned, approximately 1 hour at 250 degrees. Add crackers and nuts for the last 15 minutes of baking time. When still warm, but not hot, add chocolate chips.

This is my grandmother's (Grandma Yoder) recipe. She is a wonderful cook!! Eat the granola as cereal, in yogurt with fruit, or by itself. You'll be sure to enjoy it either way.
