4 cps. white sugar 1/4 cp. cocoa 1 cp. butter (no substitutions) 1 cp. milk 1 cp. flour
Melt butter and add milk. Stir in sugar and cocoa. Boil and when reaches soft ball stage (240). take off stove and add 1 cp flour and stir until thickens. This takes awhile to do, your arm gets sore! Pour into buttered pan and refrigerate.
Use candy thermometer to measure soft ball stage 240º.
