Buffalo mozzarella, (fresh)
Fresh basil, chopped
balsamic vinegar
olive oil
avocado
cucumber, English hothouse

Directions:
Directions:
On a serving platter, arrange alternately in rows, thinly sliced ripe tomatoes and mozzarella, sliced to same size as tomatoes, . Drizzle olive oil and vinegar according to taste over ingredients. Add salt and pepper. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil in generous amount or according to taste. Best when served at room temperature.

Classic Italian Caprese is just tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. I think it is better and more interesting to use avocado and cucumber. This can be an appetizer or a salad.
