12 slices white bread (crusts removed)
2 1/2 c. shredded Colby cheese
6 eggs (slightly beaten)
3 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
1 small can mushrooms (optional)
1 c. diced ham, cooked sausage, or bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Butter both sides of bread. Place 6 slices of bread in bottom of oblong cake pan. Add half of cheese, mushrooms, and meat. Layer another 6 slices of bread, cheese, etc. Combine eggs, milk, salt, and mustard. Pour over entire bread mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 for 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
