1/4 cup butter, cut in slices
16 red-potatoes (3 lbs is good) sliced in food processor
1/4 cup onions, chopped
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
5 cups milk (use half and half)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and put in large casserole, baking dish or roaster. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hrs or until the sauce is thicker. It will thicken more as it cools.
