1/2 lb fresh asparagus cut into 2 inch pieces
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
3 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 cup whipping cream
dash of salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In large sauce pan, saute asparagus in butter until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Cook and stir 2 minutes, or until golden brown.
Place 1/3 of mixture at a time into a blender or food processor, blend until smooth. Return to pan and serve.
