2 1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 T. sugar
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. lard
2 eggs
Milk
1 C. cornflakes
Apples
1 1/2 C. sugar
Cinnamon
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks in cup and fill rest of cup 2/3 C. with milk. Mix milk mixture, flour, salt, 2T. sugar, butter and lard till like pie crust. Roll out 2/3 of dough and put in 12 x 17 cookie sheet. Put cornflakes on crust. cover with about 1" of sliced apples mixed with 1 1/2 C. sugar & a little cinnamon and dot with butter. Roll out rest of dough. Put over the apples. Beat 2 egg whites till fluffy. Spread over top crust. Bake 375 - 400º for 40 minutes. Frost with Powder sugar icing while hot.

Freezes well. Put egg whites on before baking.
I like to use Pillsbury Cream Cheese frosting, melt in microwave (just a couple of seconds), pour over crust instead of using powder sugar icing!
Either one adds the finishing touch to your apple slices!
