Ingredients: 3 cups pared & thinly sliced apples. 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1/3 cup butter, cut up 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup chopped pecans 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg 1 Jiffy yellow cake mix ( 9oz size )

Directions:Preheat oven to 350º . Toss sliced apples with lemon juice. Set aside. Melt butter in 9" sq baking pan. Mix brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon & nutmeg. Sprinkle over melted butter. Arrange apples over mixture. Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Gently pour over apple mixture. Bake about 35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes, loosen edges & carefully invert onto serving plate. Serve warm with cool whip or vanilla ice cream. |
