3 cups sugar
1/2 cups light corn syrup
1/2 cup cold water
2 Egg Whites
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Place sugar, syrup and water in pan over medium heat, stir only until sugar is dissolved. Cook until a little tried in cold water forms a soft ball. (235 F) beat Egg Whites until stiff. Continue beating while you pour 1/2 of syrup mixture slowly over beaten egg whites. Continue beating while cooking rest of Syrup until it forms a hard ball (280 F) when tried in cup of cold water. Add gradually to other syrup/eff mixture add Vanilla. Continue beating until thick enough to drop from spoon onto waxed paper. Nuts may be added just before you are ready to spoon candy onto waxed paper.
