2/3 C flour
½ C quick-cooking oats
3 Tbs brown sugar
3 Tbs butter or margarine

Topping:
2 sweet apples, cored and sliced
2 Tbs fresh lemon juice
1/3 C flour
¼ C brown sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
2 Tbs butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine flour, oats, and brown sugar. Use fingers to rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Press dough evenly over bottom of greased 8 x 8 baking dish. Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes in 350 degree oven.

In another bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. In a separate small bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Work in butter with fingers until mixture resembles coarse meal. Spoon apples over baked dough. Scatter brown sugar/flour mixture evenly over apples. Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is lightly crisped. Cool and slice into bars.
