Cake:
1 C Sugar
1/2 C Butter
2 Eggs
1 C Sour Milk
1 C Raisins
2 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
Rind of 1 Orange, grated
Glaze Frosting:

1/2 C Orange Juice
1/2 C Sugar

Directions:
Directions:
CAKE: Cream together the sugar and butter. Add the eggs, milk and raisins. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, soda, powder and orange rind. Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. FROSTING: Mix juice and sugar together and pour over the top of the cake while it is still warm.

This cake was a Saturday tradition with the Smolander Family. Every Saturday after the weekly sauna, everyone would have coffee and Sadie's Orange Cake.
