1 - 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 1/8 tsp. black pepper 1 large jar spaghetti sauce 1 pkg. Lasagna noodles (reg. or oven ready) (DO NOT COOK) 1 - 1 1/2 lbs. cottage cheese, well drained 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded Parmesan cheese, as desired Parsley flakes, as desired

1. Brown ground beef; drain. Add onions, cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. 2. Add pepper and spaghetti sauce. 3. In a 9 x 13 baking pan, assemble ingredients as follows: 1st layer-noodles 2nd layer-meat sauce mixture 3rd layer-cottage cheese 4th layer-mozzarella cheese 4. Repeat layers. 5. Top with Parmesan cheese and parsley flakes. 6. Bake for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours at 350 7. Let sit for 5 - 10 minutes before cutting.

I put a thin layer of sauce mix on bottom of pan before layering other ingredients. I prefer the regular noodles over the oven - ready noodles, I don't like the taste or the way the oven - ready noodles cook.
