1/2 C Water
2 tbsp Butter
2 tbsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Vanilla
2 C Raw Peanuts
2 C Sugar
1 C White Corn Syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water to a boil. Add sugar and corn syrup, stir till dissolved. Cook to soft ball stage. Add peanuts and cook over medium heat to hard crack stage, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter, vanilla, and soda one at a time. Stir down until mixture is dark brown. Spread quickly into a buttered cookie sheet. Cool outside (in the snow if you can). Break up the brittle after it has cooled completely.
