1 box pie crust mix.
1/8 tsp. nutmeg.
2 1/2 lbs. cooking apples (Granny smith and Fuji) are good choices. Peel and slice them into nice chunks.
2 tbls. flour.
2 tbls. butter.
1 tsp. cinnamon.
1 c. sugar.
2 tbls. juice of a lemon.
1/2 tsp. salt.

Preheat oven to 425º.
Roll out pie crust, mix and refrigerate bottom half. In a small bowl mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. In a large bowl toss apples with lemon juice add small bowl mixture to apples, in bottom half of crust that was in refrigerator.Dot with pieces of butter. Bake at 425 º for 45 to 50 minutes
