Italian Coconut Cake Recipe

Cream together:
2 C. sugar
1 stick butter
5 egg yolks
1/2 C. Crisco

2 C. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 C. buttermilk
1/2 C. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 C. coconut

Beat 5 egg whites and fold into mixture.

Bake in 3, 8-inch cake pans at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

Cream 8 ounce package cream cheese
1/2 stick butter
1 Box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla.

Cover cake with coconut and pecans.
