1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar and add eggs one at a time, beating well. Sift flour with baking soda. Add flour mixture alternately with the chocolate syrup and vanilla. Add chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees in greased and floured pan 40 to 45 minutes. Use 9 X 9 or 8 X 12 pan. If glass pan, bake at 325 degrees.

This recipe is from Grandma Percy Reisetter's recipe file. The Reisetter family loves all kinds of chocolate and Grandma always seemed to have something baked and extras in her freezer for when her family came to visit.
