1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

With an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add yolks, then remaining ingredients. Place tablespoon-size chunks of dough on ungreased cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350º for 8- 10 minutes. Cookies should be faintly brown at edges. They may be puffed up when removed from oven, but will fall as they cool.
