cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
tsp salt
tsp vanilla
cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat. Blend in sugar. Cool. Stir in egg. Blend flour, baking powder and salt; stir in with butter/sugar mixture. Mix in vanilla and walnuts. Spread in well-greased 8x8x2 square pan. Bake 25 minutes. Be careful to not overbake. Cut into bars while warm.
