Ingredients:  
1 chicken
1 pint oysters
1 large onion,chopped
1 tsp poultry seasoning
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp parsley
1 cooking spoon cooking oil
1 T file'
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Brown cut up chicken in oil. Remove chicken from pot and set aside. Add onions and garlic to oil and drippings and brown. Return chicken to pot and add water, poultry seasoning, salt, pepper and parsley. Cook until chicken is tender on medium heat. Add oysters and cook until edges curl. When done add file'. serve over rice.
