2/3 c. shortening 2 2/3 c. sugar 4 eggs 1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin 2/3 can water 3 1/3 c. flour 2 tsp. soda 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 2/3 c. chopped nuts 2/3 c. raisins
Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add egg, pumpkin and water. Mix well. Blend in dry ingredients except nuts and raisins. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour batter into 2 loaf pans. Bake in 350º oven 65-75 minutes or until done.
