Chicken Cacciatore Recipe

1 whole fryer cut up
2 c flour
1 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1/3 c cooking oil
1 onion chopped
1 clove garlic minced
4oz can mushrooms
1 can (6oz) tomato paste
2 c hot water
1/2 t thyme
1//4 t oregano
1/4 t parsley
1/4 t allspice
2 t salt
1/4 c dry white wine

Shake chicken in a bag with flour, salt & pepper. Brown chicken in hot oil and set aside. In the same pan, saute' onion, garlic and mushrooms for a few minutes. Transfer to another pan and add remaining ingredients except for wine. Bring to a boil then pour over chicken, stir and simmer covered for 1 hour. Add wine and cook down for a few minutes. Serve over spaghetti.
