5 manzanas rojas cortadas con su cáscara en anillos de ½” de grosor
12 albaricoques secos o damascos
¼ taza de mantequilla o margarina
¾ taza de azúcar o menos si son damascos
¼ taza de miel clara de maíz
1 cucharadita de jugo de limón

En una sartén bien amplia mezclar la mantequilla, el azúcar, la miel, el jugo de limón y ½ taza de agua. Dejar que rompa el hervor. Luego dejar hervir lentito y destapado, moviendo por 5 min. Añadir las manzanas; cocinarlas destapado 5 min. por lado. Retirarla aparte. Dejar hervir lentito tapado los albaricoques en el jarabe por 10 min. Retirar del fuego y dejar reposar tapado por 10 min.
Adornar la fuente con los anillos de manzana con un albaricoque al centro de cada anillo.
