6 slices of bacon, fried and crumbled, reserve fat
2 med. onions, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 stalks, celery, chopped
1 can chicken broth
2-3 carrots, slices
2-3 potatoes, chunked (skins on)
1 c. frozen corn
2 cans creamed corn
1 c. milk
1 c. ham or chicken, chopped (optional)
Fresh parsley
2 bay leaves

In reserved fat, brown onion, celery and garlic until tender. Add rest of ingredients and cook slowly until tender.
