6 cups lukewarm water (2 cups in yeast, 4 cups in lard, salt and sugar)
2 Tbsp. lard
2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Let yeast set for 10 to 15 mins. Melt lard, salt and sugar in 4 cups of lukewarm water. Add yeast and enough flour to make not to stiff a dough. Let rise for 1 hour, punch down.
Let rise another hour with a tea towel covering the bowl.
Shape in to loaves and place into bread pans. Let rise another 2 to 3 hours, still covered with tea towels.
Bake at 400º oven for 45 mins. to 1 hour. Makes 6 loaves.
