2 c. white sugar
1 c. plus 2 T. Crisco
2 eggs
6 c. flour
4 t. cream of tartar
1 t. salt
1 c. milk, plus 2 t. baking soda in milk
FILLING:
1 box of raisins, sprinkled with cinnamon
1 T. flour
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. For filling, mix flour in sugar with dry raisins (can add about 1/4 cup chopped nuts). Cook until thick and cool. Mix dough ingredients and roll dough out on floured surface. Cut in circles. On cookie sheet, place about 1 T. filling in a dough circle; cover with another dough circle. Press edges to hold filling. Bake 20-25 minutes.
