4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, add baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and beat until light; add well beaten eggs and vanilla.

Combine the dry ingredients and creamed mix; blend thoroughly.

Shape into a roll 3 inches in diameter. Wrap in foil and chill in fridge at least overnight.

Slice roll into think slices with a sharp knife and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º.
