2 c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1 c. butter or margarine
2-3 T. sugar
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 eggs, beaten
prune, apricot, poppy seed or jam preserves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together first four ingredients. In large bowl beat butter and cheese with mixer; add eggs and stir in flour mixture. Place in bowl in refrigerator overnight. In morning, place dough on board and cut into four pieces. Take one piece of dough and roll out to about 1/4-inch thickness; with a cutter, cut rounds of about 2 inches each. Indent with finger and place about 1/2 teaspoon of preserve of choice inside. (Do not add too much as it will bubble over.) Do same with other three pieces. Place 1/2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes or until golden brown. To serve, sprinkle powdered sugar over plate of cookies or drizzle with thin powdered frosting. Yield: 3 dozen.
