2 c. milk
2 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
2 T. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch salt

Directions:
Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in a saucepan. Beat egg yolks with a small amount of milk and ad to dry mix. Gradually stir in remaining milk. Cook over a low to medium heat until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Layer pudding with bananas and vanilla wafers in baking dish. Beat egg whites till stiff with 2 T. sugar per egg white. Cover pudding with meringue and brown in oven.
