Crust:
2 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
3/4 c. melted marg.
1st. layer:
4 c. xxxx sugar
2 8oz. cream cheese (softened)
2nd layer:
2 to 3 sliced bananas
1 can crushed pineapples (slightly drained)
Toppings:
Large cool whip
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 sm. jar stemmed cherries
Chocolate syrup

Directions:

Crust: mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, pat into 13 x 9 pan. 1st layer: combine cream cheese and xxx sugar, spread over crust.
2nd layer: layer bananas over cream cheese mixture, using a slotted spoon layer crushed pineapples over bananas.
Topping: layer cool whip over fruit. Place cherries over cool whip (stem up - remember it is supposed to be a Banana Split), sprinkle nuts, then drizzle chocolate.
