1 large can crushed Pineapple

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a pan. Do not drain the pineapple. Bring to a boil and cook until candy thermometer reaches 230º or until soft ball forms when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat. Put between cake layers. Cool the rest and beat until thick. Then frost the rest of the cake.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Mothers cake layers for this icing recipe were always thin and stacked at least four layers high. If Dean was home she would frost over the pineapple with 7 minute frosting. That's the way he liked it.
