1 c butter 2 c brown sugar 2 eggs well beaten 3 ½ to 4 c flour 1 tsp soda 1 tsp cream tarter ½ tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs beat until light colored. Stir in vanilla sift together flour soda cream tarter and salt stir into butter mixture. Shape into rolls Toll in wax paper. Chill thoroughly. Bake in 400 * oven 8 to 10 minutes.
